The Bd blood tubes or any other blood collection tubes are never sold in sterile packages,even on the photo it is just a foil it is not sterile packaging.
The tubes are sterile inside.Those tubes wouldn't work if they would be opened as they have a vacuum inside, which pulls the blood through the needle and into the tube. Before drawing a blood from the patient it is mandatory to use an alcohol to sterile the top of the lid.
